5. I think Ryan wanted it first, so it would impact the budget enough so he could get his dream tax

cut through next. Trump only cares about tax cuts for him, so he caved to Ryan's sequence in order to get the tax matter done more easily.

He never cared about health care except for a sure campaign crowd pleaser. Now he blames Ryan for starting with something "so complicated" and making him actually work for a week or so twisting arms without understanding anything in the bill at all.

Health care will still get worse and worse, due to sneak attacks on various components that help it succeed, such as basically getting rid of the individual mandate for healthy young adults.

We really really need public option, even just starting out in regions that are down to one company, that would be the first building block to get us to Medicare for all.
