It is easy to put a dollar figure on a scrubber that removed pollutants from effluent, be it liquid or gas. The Democrats can make only an argument based upon past setbacks when adequate regulations did not exist, Democrats make that argument to people, many of whom, don't remember badly polluted water and superfund sites like Love Canal. Also, Democrats are always weighed down be the Susan Sarandon type far left, who screams Democrats aren't doing enough regardless of the effort. Unfortunately, people will have to suffer the brute force of the problems Trump is making possible before they appreciate what Democrats were trying to save the country from. I, for one, would have been not upset if Trumpcare had passed because many people literally have to be hit in the face by a hammer before they smarten up, Trumpcare would have been that hammer for Trump voters and third party voters and non voters.
