(21,646 posts)say that. You can't even hold a cell phone talking while driving here and prior to the law, often even those types were "lost in conversation" enough to be traffic hazards
Researchers found that car-crash hospitalizations dipped with strict bans on texting and driving in a ten yr study and it is very strict here.
Others will say we have given away a freedom and personal responsibility is the answer but there are so many stupid drivers and I am glad it's the law. One less way to crash
Am I irked when I have to pull over to answer a call or check a text? Used to it , so it just doesn't feel that restrictive since we have had it for so long.
Sort of like seat belts are the law here and I don't think it's a hassle I have done it for so many years, I guess would be a similiar enforcement . Do people still get hurt with seat belts on yes but less severe in comparison
