Where did I say - or even remotely imply - that "the majority of DU members that supported Bernie are as stupid as to "swallow every fake news story"?

JPR does not represent the "majority" of Bernie supporters, from DU or anywhere. In fact, the majority of DU Bernie supporters got behind Hillary the minute she was declared the nominee.

Again, I don't know where you're getting this from!?! The discussion is about JPR - NOT about DU, or Bernie supporters across the board. My comments are about a specific website - I don't understand how you could have missed that - I was abundantly clear about who I was talking about.

There were no "new rules" implemented. The DU rule has always been that once a Dem nominee is declared, bashing our own nominee is not permitted. Those who left for JPR did so because they refused to stop bashing a Democrat on a Democratic site. (Imagine that!)

As for "speaking freely and critically", we've now seen where that led - thread after thread on JPR about HRC master-minding the murder of her political enemies in between having seizures caused by her two dozen fatal diseases.

JPR started as a Bernie-supporting site - it quickly devolved into a go-to site for RW talking points and later spiraled into being an anti-Democratic site. It's no surprise to anyone that a site full of those gullible enough to believe and repeat every anti-HRC "news story" - regardless of how ludicrous those stories were - would be infiltrated by Russian operatives anxious to take advantage of that gullibility.

Again, how you determined that anything said about JPR posters equates to talking about ALL Bernie supporters is beyond me. You should also know that there are MANY Bernie supporters who joined JPR back in its Bernie-supporting days, and left as soon as they saw the bullshit that was being posted there.

"Us versus them"? You're damned real - "them" being people who will latch onto ANY ridiculous fake news story that is anti-Dem/pro-Russia. They're no different than FOX-News addicts: easily brainwashed, easily led by the nose, easily convinced of things that any reasonable, thinking person would laugh at. "They" are of no use to Democrats - but they have proven themselves to be of great use to Republicans and Russian trolls.
