Indiana University men's basketball team is believed to be the first NCAA champion to visit the White House when it was hosted by Gerald Ford in April 1976.
U Conn women's basketball team has been there often. They were entertained by the last three presidents

NC State men's basketball team was invited by Ronald Reagan but did not go because the university refused to pay the bus fare
