80. It is possible it's propaganda

though I don't see why the Syrian's claiming they had been given a letter via Gabbard would help with overtures toward Bush, particularly since the Trump administration had already announced that they were not seeking Assad's removal.

The only disputed part of the story is the letter. We know Gabbard met twice with Assad during a secret trip she did not disclose to the House Democratic leadership. We know she met with Trump during the transition to talk about Syria, upon the recommendation of Steve Bannon. WE know she has consistently defended Assad and proclaimed all of the rebels terrorists. The only piece in dispute is the letter. I don't find it so unbelievable. Nor do I find it worse than what we already know she has done.

I agree there is no good solution.
