74. This is what keeps me up at night.

I've seen the dissolution of the U.S. coming for years; I wish I could say I am truly surprised. I would actually posit that anyone reading DU since 2000 had to have seen this coming; the writing has been on the wall for a very long time. I've been politically active; I've marched; I've contacted representatives, and long before now. It feels that it has all been for naught. I will keep on, though. What else is there?

I also agree with you regarding the rest of the world. We are a terribly powerful nation that has finally been revealed to have no internal checks on that power, and no moral compass about using that power to our advantage. This is an awful thing to contemplate.
