5. I love New Mexico.

It reminds me of Colorado 30 years ago when I moved here. At that time Colorado was much more conservative and it's been good to watch it evolve. We've moved forward, and NM is too, just a little slower, but they kept their Democratic Senator Udall while we lost ours, so NM Democrats no so easily swayed.

I'm merely a tourist in NM but I love it. My husband, born in Texas, grew up mainly in Southern NM and Texas, but don't call him a Texan. He's proud that he "from" New Mexico.
