Once again I see that our media is trying to sell us bullshit while smiling and calling it perfume following Spicer's "robust apology" (Wolf Blitzer's language) that Spicer delivered live on CNN a few minutes ago. Other posters here have noted that the Trumpers have a long history when it comes to these issues of white nationalism including holocaust denial, and the Trumpers have issued "dogwhistle" Holocaust denial garbage before (and at very strange times -- during Passover and holy times of year for the tradition). Other posters are covering this in more detail so I wanted to focus on one point that reveals that this is a manufactured "apology" and yet another blatant LIE.

POINT: Spicer was called out, and corrected, in real time, by journalists immediately after he issued his stupid and offensive "Even Hitler never used chemical weapons" comment. He was even asked to clarify at the presser, and he fumbled it again, refusing to say simply that yes Hitler gassed millions of Jews (including German Jews). He called concentration camps a "holocaust center." WTF? The fact that he even made this statement, and kept digging in until he was forced to stage an apology hours later, means that he DOESNT REALLY BELIEVE THAT "INNOCENT" JEWS (including German Jews, Hitler's "own people&quot WERE GASSED or that he in some way doesn't believe the "official" story. That is classic holocaust denial. Yes, this is what I believe is going on with him, imho.

Even if we grant that Spicer is woefully ignorant of the events of WWII, there is no way that he doesn't know from films, his education, etc that Jews were gassed in WWII. In his fumbling and stuttering in response to the journalists, who were protesting his statement about Hitler, he said that Hitler didn't use gas on INNOCENT PEOPLE. That single comment is one that is used constantly in the holocaust denial/white nationalist community. Yes, they make the argument that gas was never used. But the slip up and repeated digging about "innocent people" reveals a very dark truth about Trump and co.

I am tired of our media apologizing for this jackass AND for attempting to normalize Trump and "forget" the Russia scandal as Trump and co. gaslight the U.S. with a cheap strike against Syria and total theater w/Tillerson in Russia, now threatening North Korea, and issuing "ultimatums?" And now we hear that Ivanka decided that Trump should strike Syria, and that the advisors are just "appeasers" in the eyes of Eric Trump. Lovely.

MSNBC is discussing right now Dr. Gorka, Trump's "expert" on the Middle East, who has explicit ties with a Hungarian neo-Nazi group. He wears a MEDAL FROM THIS GROUP. He is just one example.
