6. There are serious problems with Sharia law

One is the requirement to sever the offending limb of a thief. Another is zina, the area of law under Islam regarding sexual morality, where women are mandated to be stoned if they commit adultery. The most widespread interpretation of zina is that gays should be killed as is mandated in the hadiths. Laws like this exist in the Old Testament but are never followed today, with the official Catholic teaching being that Jesus invalidated most Levitical laws. Not sure what technical justification Jews used to ignore these laws, but they've also clearly dropped these rules as well.

There's no sense in defending a barbaric set of laws. Why the left chooses to die on this cross, as they are in Europe, I'll never know. Anyone who desires that these laws be implemented in society should be involuntarily committed.
