seated, and is not causing a disturbance that is harmful to others, s/he has every right to expect that the airline will honor its contract with him/her - failing an emergency situation - which this was not. Period. The only disturbance resulted from the passenger's forcible removal.
Basically, what you are saying is that an airline can unilaterally decide to remove any passenger at any time, no matter what the justification. You basically see the "contract" only and always to be interpreted as the airline wishes. That is not contract law, but blackmail.
The airline was at fault, likely not so much in its decision - depending on how the decision was actually made, but in its timing and certainly in its execution of that decision.
