Even a token Democratic candidate will attract some votes. We really need to start fielding someone in every district, no matter how red that district is. It will help identify voters who have long been frustrated by having no choice at all. Anyone who runs in such a district will not have to worry about winning and can just have a good time with the candidacy, giving press interviews and showing up to speak at club meetings and things like that. Even being just an irritant is a good thing, all around, and can be a lot of fun, besides.
