In reply to the discussion: What's the FIRST word that comes to mind ... [View all]Warpy
(114,616 posts)11. Oh, but there are so many scrolling past like Star Wars opening credits
in bright yellow, cowardly colored letters, all together in rows and columns.
For the leadership: mobsters, traitors, skinflints, liars, thieves, cheaters, hypocrites, manipulators, criminals, dogmatists, troglodytes, Tartuffes, dolts, and on into modifiers of such and unfair comparisons to the animal kingdom.
For the rank and file: stupid, spiteful, uninformed, disinformed, misinformed, suckers, chumps. deluded, star-struck, disengaged, cultists, bigots, belligerents, loudmouths, and of course, the perennial favorite, hypocrites.
Then of course, the synonyms start to fly by in the next block of cowardly colored yellow text.
And if I weren't dog tired right now, I could probably keep going all night.

Their leaders: "thieves," their voters: "stupid," but, yeah, "hypocrite" is the connecting thread.
