... Bernie is looking to remake the party in his image so he needs to do the hard work to do it.
If he wants the party to move to him then he should lift a finger to help the party. Sanders is very popular right now and his help might have pushed Ossoff over 50%. That is why Democrats are pissed off right now.

true but it was fairly clear from polling that Ossoff had consolidated almost all party support.
