(16,588 posts)I knew exactly what you were referencing, the "OMG I need to buy and carry everything" insane over-packing that some young/new parents tend to acquire as a habit, but seriously, the amount of crap a new parent packs in with their children tends to increase with the amount of space available, and next thing you know... there's a carseat (or two), a stroller (or three), booster seats for restaurants. multiple diaper bags, a playpen, bouncy chairs, walkers, backup outfits, activity equipment (sports/dance/whatever), portable game players, snacks, favorite stuffed animals, random toys... and you're out of room.
Ask me how I could possibly know about this, and see if you can get the right answer this time.
