262. I have no problem with the ACLU

I don't have a problem with anyone finding this law abhorrent. I merely have difficulty dealing with people who want me to go along with their opinion that this is some "last straw", that failing to re-elect President Obama would in any way improve the situation, or that there is not a strong mandate of government to prevent terrorist attacks, and this might well be a necessary legal measure. Simply assuming the entire world is going to hell in a handbasket and all government is evil and anyone who disagrees is a fascist is a petty, childish, unproductive approach. The ACLU's approach is much better. You take legal action. And win or lose, you continue to participate as effectively as you can in our democracy.

That doesn't preclude wasting your vote on token support of a third party, but it doesn't suggest it, either.
