(229 posts)This is not a rainbow coalition, it's not even a Democratic one. I am not going to tune into 3 hours of someone supporting a man who is NOT pro choice or progressive.
I don't like these pointless rallies, I prefer policies and platforms and the record of the candidate.
It seems like they found some woman to say some words who is not knowledgeable about this man, who holds no degrees in Public Health (it's a deep field that has its own graduate schools, its own degrees and it's own publications. This woman is a sex researcher focusing on sex education for couples after pregnancy, and their pleasure. She sounds like a sex therapist on her bio at UNO. She is not associated in anyway with Planned Parenthood. She does not know that this man has himself sponsored legislation that progressive groups, physicians, public health officials, etc. find dangerous and reprehensible. Is she the best they could do? That's not saying much. Not a single ObGyn familiar with what a 20 week ban would wreak upon women was willing to vouch for him?
What were the water protectors doing there for a man who was FOR the Keystone Pipeline???!!?

This is not passing the smell test, and erasing women, health groups and the community protecting choice is not a true Rainbow coalition, it's pretty monochrome, not even representative of even a partial Democratic coalition.
