boots ready and I'm going to clean debris out of a beautiful little lake we have near my home. Others clean up, cut kudzu down and plant native plants throughout the park.

Also, years ago one of my neighbors identified a bunch of unsightly small plots of land around our town. A corner here, a strip next to the sidewalk there. People volunteer to plant them. We all live in apartments without yards, so we get to garden and the plots that used to be junky are now full of flowers all spring and summer. I have one of those.
