In reply to the discussion: Just saw a segment on ABC news about vinyl... [View all]Most of my operas are on vinyl and I've always been a fussbudget about the way I handle and store them, so they're in great shape.
I've always found digital great for some genres and "dead" for others. I'm keeping my operas on vinyl.

I got a new copy of the White Album on CD because I really loved that record on vinyl.

I have always preferred the analogue sound of an LP to the digital sound of a CD .

The sound of vinyl is certainly not "better quality" from a mathematical perspective.
