Things to watch for in an emerging fascist state:

This is -NOT NORMAL- and we can't be allowed to think it is. No matter how far down the crazy hole this goes, we can't think, "Oh, the stuff he did at the beginning is practically normal compared to this dog and pony show!" Nope!

It's all abnormal, and we have to keep calling it abnormal.
