and he flew probably 4 times in the late 80's/early 90's, and always as cargo - I wasn't on the plane.

The one in my avatar (Mr. Beau Brummel 'BB') also flew several times, but by then they had modified the rules to allow smaller dogs in those carry on kennels, and he did that, in the cabin, between my feet probably 6 times.

If I had lost either of those dogs while flying I would have been utterly devastated
