57. He is a dick in general and should've sucked it up and apologized for his 'insinuation' ... but ...

We on DU ARE indeed 'piling on' in part because he's a CON, let's call a spade a spade.

We'd find a way to forgive, say ... Ron Howard ... if he'd initially said this same thing, esp. if an OD had been misreported, and that's what he was responding to.

That said, Baio's waffling, liberal-blaming, not apologizing, denying that he was insinuating she died from drugs (I would bet he heard that very thing misreported on Sunday, in fact), and hiding behind his wife's skirt ... to me, that was the egregious part. Not so much what he first said, given the circumstances ... it was, you might say ... the 'coverup' ... that's the real dick move.

As an aside, I'd also point out at that it's not 'unknown' for large doses of opioids to be 'deployed' to provide a compassionate 'way out' for terminally ill/sick patients. Ergo, it's not unthinkable that there's a bit of truth to the story that was in the media Sunday. They eased my very sick 94yo grandpa out of the world in that manner ... at the hospital in fact. Morphine, of course, but ...
