And he was offered a good bit of money to speak. I am sure he never expected to be attacked by a member of the Democratic Party. And he was not. A gadfly Independent from Vermont attacked him.
The Senator from Vermont has now crossed my personal Rubicon and I am done with him. I predict now he will do every thing he can to fuck up our chances in 2020. Hope I am wrong, but he seems to have as much animus against our party, you know the party represented here at Democratic Underground, as he does the republicans who are busy wrecking our democracy.
The shit President Obama had to put up with from republicans over the past 8 years was unprecedented in my lifetime. The republicans went straight to the sewer with every racist and bigoted attack possible. To have one of our supposed ally attack him is too much.
The Democratic Party need to tell the Senator from Vermont to pound sand and get his publicity on his own. And go back to Vermont where the citizens of one of the most homogenous, smallest population states love him.
