6. i was actually talking about my own county/city re: the taxes

And yes. they do have their own taxes earmarked just for their schools. I'm in Cullman and they have a large portion of property tax that is just for the schools as well as a half cent of the city sales tax that only city schools get. This is on top of what they get from the state fund per student. That burns us up because we county people are shopping in Cullman and supporting their schools but not getting that tax money till we recently passed our own half cent tax which we have to share with them since they are also county residents
Cullman city has the best of everything. State of the art football field as good as some colleges, every child has laptops/ipads now I think. Brand new facility none of our county schools could ever get.. our county schools have had to be closed due to lack of money to repair buildings.

They may not have their own schools yet to pass the taxes for, but they will eventually be in the same spot we are. The city of Gardendale will be supporting the schools very well with all the business they have to tax.
