He drove them off of the valuable land in No. Carolina not long after the Indian Removal Act was signed in 1830 and they ended up in Kentucky only to be moved again a year later to Indiana where they got that lovely swamp land worth nothing. I have the land deeds on these "transactions".
They were mixed-blood Indians and they had 15 kids en tote.
My grgrgrgrandfather died at the age of just over 50 years after being moved three times in three years. It killed him doubtlessly. His wife (my grgrgrgrandmother) died not long after he did leaving behind 15 children to fend for themselves.
