We can complain all day about how much CEO's make, every minute spent griping is a minute better spent targeting wage theft, and other unfair wage disparities. Focusing on the numbers in the paycheck of a CEO will be dismissed as class envy more than anything else, which is why those arguments don't usually gain traction. There are ways to better pressure corporations to do better, eg. profit sharing etc. Still, there's a trend at play here - Anything ridiculously out of the norm would understandably raise eyebrows so what's the going rate for ex-presidents these days where speeches are concerned? And for those who have a problem with this, what is the right amount Obama should get, and I'd also like to get from them a list of firms that Obama should talk to and those he should not.
