The Road to Jonestone: Jim Jones and the Peoples Temple by Jeff Guinn. Absolutely fascinating. Jones actually started out sincerely believing in Socialism. He was also, rather early on, willing to fake things like faith healing. It's going to be interesting watch him change into the man who oversaw the death of nearly 1,000 people in a Jungle in Guyana.
