Flynn was the fall guy and they say he lied to Pence, thereby keeping Flynn at arm's length from Trump even.
The "I barely knew the guy, wouldn't recognize him in the room" defense.
So, we can believe Flynn was acting on his own, making deals with Putin, or we can believe Pence was acting on his own, having Flynn make deals with the Russians, or we can believe that Trump is the guy making decisions. Take your pick.
What wasn't mentioned today at the hearing is that Yuuuge elephant in the room, that it is unlikely anyone other than Trump was behind all this dealing with Russia before he was President.
