1. Even if they have employer-provided insurance, the terms of their insurance may change.

They might suddenly find themselves with a lifetime limit, higher co-pays and higher contribution if the overall cost of insurance coverage goes up, etc. Additionally, hospitals may end up closing near them because people can't afford to pay their medical bills anymore.
