That would imply that he is NOT on board with Trump and may even be working as a saboteur. Trump or his minions would soon ferret out that sentiment. In fact I wouldn't doubt that the good general was also asked for a loyalty decree to his Dear Leader, as that seems to be a requirement for any job he issues.

I'm more inclined to believe that he's not as clean and pure as some wish. I think there is this almost debilitating desire for someone, anyone to stand up against him that is in his inner circle, that we project our hopes onto the most promising cases. How long did we pine for Ivanka to stand up and speak out for decency, honour, integrity, against her father? Thinking surely she MUST not think the same way as her father. That she would stand up for her country over her family ties. Turns out she is a willing participant at the feeding trough.
