(48,958 posts)I have never blocked a Duer. In 15 years. However, I don't like click bait. Headlines like these, when not revealing the source (so the reader can chose to read or not), for me is click bait.
Note, I am not asking you - or anyone not to post Mensch's blog/twitter posts. I am not condemning anyone for reading/sharing those. I was just asking sourcing be present - so readers can select what to read. The title of your OP is so enticing (I would love it to be so.) Post it. Many will happily read it. I might even read it - despite the source.
Given your OP title - in this time of such quick moving news stories, I dove in. But getting a little in - I felt like I had read click bait when compared to a story breaking across the media tonight - revelations that Trump asked Rogers and Coates to (regardless of their agencies information) to publicly clear him and his campaign on the Russia/Collusion issue. They, like Comey refused, (and Rogers, also was bothered enough to write careful notes like Comey.) The latter story appears to be factually unfolding - not just hopeful maybe real maybe not reporting.
Again thank you for your candor.
Perhaps I just need to start filtering at DU. I have avoided doing so for my history here. But perhaps times have just changed enough that I need to adjust.
This is not personal - in anyway. It is just something I have been grappling with for a while. There is something different between an individual Duer on GD making a provocative statement/opinion looking for response vs. posting another person's opinion/reporting (Mensch's) as one's own opinion for discussion - while what is posted - if I was reading elsewhere I would recognize as something I read as clickbait.
