9. The C2 Vette had several chief designers. Which one? The shape owes a lot to two cars:

The C2 was designed by Larry Shinoda under the direction of GM chief stylist Bill Mitchell. Inspiration was drawn from several sources: the contemporary Jaguar E-Type, one of which Mitchell owned, but I think the split-window '63 Sting Ray also owes a lot to the work of another great Italian master. Note the rear and fender lines of the '55 Bertone BAT 9 Alfa:
