care, which can cost up to $20,000 a month. Do you or your parents have an extra $500,000 saved for a medical illness or just end-of-life medical care? My mother spent the last 3 years of her life in a nursing home, from age 92 to 95. Fortunately, she was able to pay for her care from the sale of my parents' farm. But, as above, there went our inheritance.
