It's not about "instant gratification." It's about requiring would-be journalists to maintain standards of integrity and to afford those would-be journalists no more respect than they have earned.

Please provide Mensch's record of successful reporting since the inauguration. That is, how often has she been substantively correct before more credible news outlets have reported on the same stories?

She has a habit of posting bombshell revelations that other news media don't report at all, and which don't actually seem to be borne out afterwards. She posts a lot of what we on the Left are desperate to hear, and too many among us on DU are happy to accept her revelations at face value, rejecting calls for corroboration.

"They may be wrong, but they may be right, only time will tell, and I'll wait longer than 30 seconds to find out."

No shit? Me, too. I've been waiting weeks for Mensch's musings to bear fruit. How much longer must we give her?
