Are you saying we would've won running a Republican-lite candidate here? I'd love for you to try making that argument with a straight face.

My point was that full-throated populism will win us elections we would otherwise be losing. You haven't addressed that point.

And again, you failed to address my other point - all the people close to Bernie currently running for office are Democrats. Who cares if Bernie himself isn't? He ran as one in the Democratic primary, and came close to beating the candidate everyone was sure had the nomination in the bag (who, by the way, wasn't a lifelong Democrat either).

Populism works these days. Let's not allow the right to have a monopoly on it.
