(28,451 posts)47. We had a city council election last week in my Trump-voting town.
No Democrat ran, but the very liberal Independent slammed the Republican candidate by almost 2-to-1 margin. That despite my only seeing a few lawn signs for her and 5 or 6 of the Republican candidates' supporters at the major intersection in town every day for two weeks for hours on end.
So maybe, hopefully, yes. This is a trend.
