As a former intelligence officer, believe me, when a potential source either contacts an intelligence officer or it is finally revealed to a potential source that he is in touch with a hostile intelligence officer, that is not a moment you overlook. That moment when you realize that you are about to commit or in fact have committed treason is not something you forget about or fail to remember later on.
