3. Help me understand, neoliberalism was at most an indirect factor, wasn't it?

Seems to me it goes like this: neoliberalism has resulted in economic inequality, in the middle class being left behind while the wealthy get more and more of the pie. The wealthy then propagandize to mask the true cause and deflect anger away from neoliberalism and onto immigration and multiculturalism.

So Breivik was created directly by the radical rightwing reaction to immigration (especially by Muslims) and multiculturalism. In other words, he was not himself a neoliberal, but rather a creation of the intentional misdirection of anger over the damages done by neoliberalism onto multiculturalism.
