I've been to London several times and loved it--though not since 9/11 and the age of radical Islamic terrorism. It was so nice riding the trains, subways, and buses of GB and Europe at all hours of the day without any concerns for one's safety.

I've wondered why al Qaeda and ISIS websites/communication channels haven't been monitored by authorities and shut down. Maybe not possible?

I suppose if Western cities were to be rebuilt today they would separate the roadways from the sidewalks with concrete barriers of some kind.
