12. I do the same but some people are fearful someone is casing their residence

My elderly mother answers every one because she is worried if she doesn't pick it the crook will think she is not home and come over to rob the place.

I have tried to get her to let the answering machine get all the calls she doesn't recognize but she will have none of it.
