To say that he is "mentioned" in ancient sources is meaningless, because outside of the Bible, there are NO references to his life or anything he supposedly said.

That is not an opinion. That is a fact.

But let me break it down for you: those claiming that Jesus is mentioned in ancient texts outside of the Buybull cite four sources. None of them prove the claim:

Josephus: there is mention of Jesus in what is called the Testimonium flavianum, which is part of his Antiquity of the Jews. This mention has been proved beyond a doubt to be a forgery, inserted into the work during the 4th century.

Tacitus: his Annals from 109CE report that Christians believe that a "Christus" was crucified by Pilate. But Tacitus is simply reporting a belief held by Christians, not acting as a non-Biblical source proving the existence of Jesus. In fact, Tacitus uses the word "Christus" as if it is a name, when it is not a name , but a title, like "president."

Pliny the Younger: in his Letter to Trajan of 112CE, Pliny relates how he dealt with people calling themselves Christians when they refused to honor the Roman gods. Contrary to the myth of Xians dying for their beliefs, Pliny reports that when given the choice of punishment or renouncing Jesus, most Xians renounced Jesus. Again, this is not in any way a confirmation of the existence of Jesus. It is simply a report on how Pliny dealt with people calling themselves Xians.

Suetonius:in his Lives of the Caesars, the author mentions a "Chrestus" a single time. He reports that this Chrestus was instigating disturbances in Rome. Unfortunately for the "Jesus is mentioned outside the Bible" crowd, Suetonius is writing about things that happened in Rome under the reign of Emperor Claudius in 49CE. Well, wrong place and wrong time, no? Last I looked, the Bible never claimed that Jesus traveled to Rome, and Jesus was supposedly crucified anywhere between 33-36CE.
