to be the House minority leader. She was not chosen to be head of the Democratic party, or head of the DNC, or Person Responsible for Winning Elections in Republican Districts. The extreme right of the GOP hates her because she is effective and good at her job, which is getting Democratic representatives to vote according to Democratic principals (note that they have no problems with Republican leaders who do the same thing).

IMHO, the "Dump Pelosi" movement was started by and is fueled by Trump supporters who are afraid of what a strong woman can accomplish. Strange, isn't it, that Schumer isn't being derided for Osoff's loss - yet.
