I think there are some people who actually would just walk away. I know I couldn't, and knowing our own feelings makes it even harder to believe that someone else could be that cruel.

I am convinced that these Republican thugs have no empathy or compassion. As to Republican voters, it will only be when something like this affects them personally that they even begin to understand. They cannot extrapolate and understand what others go through.
