Breast cancer returned and has metastasized -- it's terminal, so my cousin is simply living with cancer as long as treatments will allow. She is in North Dakota and got herself on Medicaid. She had to drop her two part-time jobs to qualify and has no assets outside her home, but it worked and she is getting great, aggressive care. If you can get your sister on Medicaid and in with a teaching hospital for treatment, that would be a good scenario.
