50. I live in a rural area in the Deep South

I know about 5 Democrats here. All my work relationships are superficial because anything deeper would expose the misogyny, racism and utter stupidity of my colleagues. To a person, they rely on FOX for their news. They cannot argue because we are living in universes that lack any commonality. Because of their numbers, they speak freely about their politics and their admiration for Trump. They are the progeny of generation after generation of this kind of mentality, and would never open their mind to any alternative. Once, about 20 years ago, I moved to Europe to live in a more progressive environment, but 8 years later I was forced, due to family matters, to return to Georgia. I detest it here. For any of you who live in blue states or blue regions, be thankful, be very thankful. It's horrifying to be going down with the ship with the very people who sunk the ship.
