140. I know some women as described by the OP, but not men

Men who support Trump are simplistic and angry and white. I'm not sure I've met one outside that description. I sensed their numbers and 2016 ferocity not only from my Las Vegas decades but particularly from the Doral golf tournament in March 2016. It was at Trump's course but that had nothing to do with the comments I heard among spectators all week. It was beyond scary and I knew it was potentially ominous toward November. Nobody who attended an event like that would ever have dismissed Trump's chances. Unfortunately I think too many of our strategists were looking at idiotic polls and making foolish conventional wisdom assumptions.

Those men are a lost cause. On the other hand, there are some female Trump supporters I know who drive me absolutely nuts. They are indeed thoughtful and kind. They are also very religious and now very scared. Every fear is taken to the extreme. They tell me they don't want gays kissing in the pew in front of them in church. They don't want Mexicans pouring across the border, or Muslims executing their next plot. Build that wall. I'm only talking about 5 women but all of them emphasize building the wall above any other priority. I'm astonished how effective that one proposal became.

They really didn't hate Hillary but were pounded by so many lies and fake news articles they could recite them one by one.

This is another aspect I've noticed: The Trump men continue to follow the news and don't care what he's charged with or what anyone says. They dismiss it as media or liberal lies and back Trump 100%. The women hear the negativity and merely tune it out for a week or few weeks, until sensing it's safe to return.

Yes, Fox News in doctor's offices. I experienced that for 3 hours last week. I was squirming and shaking my head in disgust all the way but as I sampled others in the waiting room they were either mesmerized or taking it in stride like their daily normalcy.
