From what I observed in general message boards after the election, the Trump voters devoted far more of their time celebrating Hillary's loss (and liberals being upset) rather than expressing optimism about Trump.
FOX News, AM talk radio and right-wing websites spread the same messages. It's more anti-liberal than anything else.
They don't mind African Americans if they're Republican from what I've seen. If African Americans suddenly voted for Republicans in large numbers, their coverage of AA's would improve dramatically. The same applies to Muslims if they suddenly held up signs around the world that said, "We love you USA! Please install a military base and lots of your corporations here!"
Their main concern is economic policies that help the wealthy. Since the wealthy are a minority, they rely on propaganda to get people to vote for their big business agendas.
Edit: It's also EASIER for them to spout lies that put their liberal enemies in a bad light, at least among the politicians. It's not easy for a politician to sue for slander! The media can more easily be sued if it presents a story against a powerful businessman that's not entirely true.
