I get a sign along the road saying, "the next 5 miles of deplorables maintained by SergeStorms".

Really, most of these people do not want, or are beyond, help. Trumpism is a cult, and has too be treated as such. People just don't wake up one day and say, "gee, I was wrong about Trump all along". They have to be kidnapped and deprogrammed, just like cult members from any other deplorable cult. Without constant treatment and positive reinforcement they'll just return to the cult, as confused as ever.
