212. My neighbor is one of those

He helps people he knows and cares about. Very generous with his money with one person, and with his physical labor for several. Seems nice, but believes every conspiracy theory the RW thinks up. Has a college degree in psychology. Ran a successful business until he retired.

He is a gun collector. He shoots every day. Some days, it is continuous shooting for two hours by him and his friends. Terrifies my dog. We live in a rural area.

I asked why he has all those guns (many different kinds). It is in case someone breaks into his house. He is 72. I asked if anyone had ever tried to break in, and he said no.

Then he said it is because, under Obama, we were all going to be starving and out of work. The people from town would come out here to cow paradise and try to steal our food and well water and kill us. So he will protect his food and water supply by killing them.

Now we have Trump, so he is not worried. But he still practices with his guns every day, and still fantasizes about *needing* to use them to kill people.

Hunting is important around here. So much that during hunting seasons, my dog wears an orange jacket, we have orange plastic ribbon around our fenced area, and our property is posted with no hunting signs.

This man will not hunt. He used to. Now he won't kill a deer because he can't stand the thought of killing animals. He will not kill any animal for meat, including farm animals. He is a catch-and-release fishman. He is a meat-eater, though. Oddly, he never takes his beloved cats to the vet or vaccinates them. He always has at least 10 outdoor cats. He keeps the numbers up by letting them procreate. Wild animals and cars take enough away so he never has more than 13 at a time.

If you met him, you'd think he was a nice guy. In some respects, he is. He loves cooking, gardening, and cats, and farm machinery. But underneath that placid exterior is a Trump can do no wrong supporter.
