5. Well, SAG membership is pretty widespread, yes.

Not surprising considering all you have to do is work as a paid extra for three days to qualify. They're also scattered all over world.

My impression of Friends of Abe is that most of its membership was recruited through personal contact. Considering it started with Gary Sinise and his like-minded cohorts, that would seem to indicate most are active in Hollywood and the industry, something that can't be said for all SAG members.

My point is that I think "liberal media" claims are exaggerated. That applies for journalism more than for the entertainment industry, but overstated nonetheless.
